Ray and Jan moved to DeWitt in the early 1960s where Jan taught in the Central Community School system for 30+ years. Ray is proud to have served his country in the US Army and was a self- employed businessman. Ray and Jan have been strong supporters of community organizations and believe people need to be active in supporting the community. They raised three children: Kurt, Karmen, and Marvin.
Ray believed that hard work, commitment, and sacrifice was the key to success and held those that possessed these qualities to a higher esteem. Jan took great fulfillment in the successes of her students knowing that her efforts as a teacher helped to prepare them for their next step in their learning process.
