Helen Jeanne Helble

Helen Jeanne Krause was born in August of 1917. While attending Iowa State University she met and married Donald Helble in July of 1941. Helen Jeanne graduated from Maquoketa High School, and Marycrest College with a degree in elementary education.

Mrs. Helble was an outstanding fourth grade teacher for 25 years in the Central Community Schools. Helen Jeanne continued her interest in children and volunteering to her church, teaching Sunday school, and as Superintendent of Bible School.

Helen Jeanne Helble’s interests in education lead her daughter Donna Jeanne into education. Donna Jeanne is a professor of Education at Winnona State University. Thus showing the family’s love of education.

The Helen Jeanne Helble Endowment will continue to display this love by funding elementary educational grants through the Central Community Education Foundation.
